IT Director

Mission: This position will play a critical role in establishing InVision’s internal strategy and policies for the seamless provisioning of equipment and software to more than 200 remote employees worldwide so they can do their jobs effectively and securely. Day-to-day will include management of vendor relationships and logistics, as well hands-on support in a Mac environment. To start, this will be an individual position, but there are numerous opportunities to expand within our rapidly growing organization.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provision equipment, software, and services for new hires
  • Ensure that employees receive first-line support when issues arise with hardware/software
  • Pragmatic security prevention to mitigate loss of confidential information and equipment while being mindful of employee productivity
  • Manage vendor relationships, applications, and license renewals
  • Optimize budget and spend for equipment and software

REQUIREMENTS

Competencies:

  • Creative operational thinker with good judgment on policy creation
  • Pragmatic with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to support 200+ remote employees in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Ability to foster and manage strong vendor relationships
  • Not afraid to roll up sleeves and be hands-on

Background:

  • Experience with procurement of equipment, including managing vendor relationships
  • Experience managing internal helpdesk or third-party vendors for desktop support
  • Ideally experience providing remote support to managed desktops
  • Experience managing seats in corporate accounts (Atlassian, Google Apps, etc.)
  • Support of Mac environments strongly preferred
